Dear Eduard! The collection volume (excluding anti-coagulant) for each plasmapheresis procedure must not exceed 16 per cent of the estimated total blood volume (see Standards). The total blood volume should be calculated on the basis of gender, height and weight. Alternatively, a collection volume based on 10.5 mL per kg of body weight broadly equates to 16 per cent of estimated total blood volume.
