Dear colleagues,

The ISBT Working Party on Transfusion Transmitted Infectious Diseases (WP-TTID) has defined travel support to attend ISBT and WP-TTID meetings as a long term funding priority. The goal is to drive development of the next generation of basic research and clinical investigators with interest in TTID from all regions of the world. WP-TTID Travel Award will enable early career mentored physician-scientists to attend WP-TTID meetings and ISBT congresses.

Applications for the ISBT WP-TTID Travel Awards are only open to scientists under 40 years of age and involved in the field of transfusion transmitted infectious diseases. The aim is to grant up to five awards per meeting. The Awards will range from Euro 2000-3000 depending on applicant need and meeting location.

Applicants should be recommended or endorsed by a WP-TTID member. Potential candidates are expected to present either original data from their research or a proposal for a new study at the meeting they are invited to attend. Applications from Eastern Europe be submitted via e-mail to ezhiburt@yandex.ru and must include:

• Letter of motivation, including details of the project or data to be presented
• Curriculum vitae, including list of publication
